I'm surprised he gave such a wide ranging interview. Why, oh why was he retained by the new regime? |

From reading other QPR message boards you would think that Gianni is now God Now that he saw the reception NW got he decides to go on the record and fill us with this crap.
Of course he is trying to lick up to the fans, but all the bad press and bad decision making as a result of having this man at the club has really damaged us and I don't care what good he has done he still should be out on his arse and if he wants to go to see QPR play well then he pays like everybody else
Get rid of GP and then and only then can we be confident for the future of QPR

Agreed Garry. This guy is such a bulls****er. Just read some of Ollie's book on that score. "We've learned from our mistakes" It only took two and a half years!! "You can't win promotion with a team full of loan players" "The manager now has sole responsibility for bringing in players". How in god's name did it take these moron's so long to realise what they were doing? I suppose its just one of those strange puzzles of life that will never be solved!

Good and in some respects revealing interview. I think with personal money in the club, and interest-free loans etc on the balance sheet, his involvement with the club cannot be dismissed simply. I think overall he just may not have been strong enough to deal with Flav. He probably felt that financially Flav was needed so badly, either he didnt want to stand up to him, or he actually came from the same soccer culture himself, he didnt see the things that were wrong. However if the new regime are as strong and as dedicated as he says they are, I see his role as being more managerial (I don't mean football managerial!!), rather than that of strategic direction. His role and potential maybe has always been over-exagerrated, leading to his poor profile amonst fans. And with a strong personality in place as football manager, I don't see him getting involved in places he shouldn't be.
